GUIDED NATURE WALK
A guided nature walk led by our psychologists. The event blends the restorative power of nature with practical psychological insights. Together, we’ll explore how spending time outdoors can reduce stress, boost mood, and enhance connection—with ourselves, each other, and the natural world. No experience needed—just a willingness to slow down and be present.
What can I expect from a therapeutic nature walk?
guided by trained counsellors
reconnecting with the natural world
exercises such as grounding and meditation
solo and group reflection
These walks are focused on slowing down and getting in tune with nature and oneself. Counsellors will lead this event and provide both teachings and questions meant to support and encourage reflection and growth. As a small group, we will do a short and easy guided walk through a local natural area, taking time to pause and reflect both as an individual and with the other participants.

Medicine Pouch Workshop
MEDICINE POUCH WORKSHOP WITH JUDY AND ELLE EVERSON
8 October 2025
Your experience begins with a smudge ceremony, a sacred ritual that cleanses the spirit and sets the stage for meaningful connection. Guided by Judy and her daughter Elle, participants will make their own medicine pouch which will be filled with sacred objects such as crystals and sage, receive teachings about the significance of the smudge and its role in Indigenous culture.

Parenting Children with ADHD/Autism
Parenting Children with ADHD/Autism
A night of learning and connection for parents and caregivers who are
navigating something different and often invisible.
INFORMATION SESSION ON THURSDAY 21 AUGUST
What to Expect:
A two-hour information session for parents and caregivers to learn, reflect, and connect. We'll start by offering grounded, digestible information about:
What neurodivergence actually is — specifically ADHD and autism
Why these brains get so misunderstood — by schools, professionals, even extended family
Why parenting a neurodivergent child is uniquely hard — and how you're not failing
From there, the space will open up for conversation, questions, and shared reflection. This is a place to talk about what it's really like — without judgment, and without having to explain why it's not as simple as "Just do this".
Hosted by
Alyssa Lightfoot (she/her)
Intern Counsellor | Former Teacher | Late-identified Autistic + ADHD
Alyssa is a neurodivergent adult who wasn’t diagnosed until adulthood. She’s spent years working in schools and now works in a counselling role with kids, teens, and families. Her perspective is shaped by both lived and professional experience and by the belief that most parents of neurodivergent children are trying to navigate something they were never given accurate information about.
